Bring systematic injury prevention to your organization. BetterAthlete™ offers two pathways — platform-only for digital-first screening, or the full Everyday Athlete pilot program with on-site delivery and clinical support.

The Problem

Why Athletic Health
Intelligence Matters

1 in 5

Young athletes suffer a significant injury each season — most of which are preventable with early detection and intervention.

$935M

The estimated annual cost of youth sports injuries in the US. Prevention is exponentially less expensive than treatment.

88%

Of youth athletes who suffer serious injury never return to competitive play at the same level. Early prevention changes this.

Does This Look Familiar?

High Injury Rates.
No Idea How To Reverse Them.

Parents are pulling kids from practice. Coaches are frustrated but flying blind. Your best players are sitting out the most important games of the season — and no one can tell you why it keeps happening or how to stop it. Most clubs don't know what their injury picture actually looks like until it's already a crisis. Here's what it looks like when a club finally turns the lights on.

Who It's For

Organizations In Action

Youth Soccer

Eastfield United FC

Elite Youth Club · U13–U16 Girls · NYC Metro

The Challenge

Eastfield's technical director kept seeing the same pattern — talented players dropping out mid-season with hamstring strains, ankle sprains, and knee issues. No pre-season screening existed. Coaches had no way to know which athletes were walking into the first training session already at elevated risk.

The Approach

The club deployed BetterAthlete™ as a pre-season screening baseline for all 80 players across four age groups. The platform's GYR classification flagged 14 athletes as Yellow and 3 as Red before a single ball was kicked. Coaches adjusted training loads and added prevention protocols for flagged athletes, while parents received individual athlete health reports for the first time.

Season Outcomes

80
Athletes screened across 4 age groups in one pre-season window
21%
Of squad flagged for elevated risk before the first training session
0
ACL injuries in flagged athletes during the monitored season
100%
Parent satisfaction with individual athlete health reporting

What BetterAthlete™ Delivered

  • Pre-season GYR risk classification for every athlete
  • Centralized coach dashboard with load management alerts
  • Individual athlete movement profiles and parent-facing reports
  • Custom FIFA 11+ prevention protocol assignment by risk tier
  • End-of-season comparison report showing movement improvement

Lacrosse

Kingsbridge Academy Lacrosse

Private School Program · Varsity & JV · NYC

The Challenge

Lacrosse's combination of acceleration, deceleration, and contact creates a specific injury profile — hamstring strains, ankle instability, and shoulder issues dominate. Kingsbridge's athletic director wanted a systematic way to identify which athletes were susceptible before contact drills began, and how to demonstrate due diligence to the school's board and parents.

The Approach

BetterAthlete™ was deployed with the Everyday Athlete assessment kit during a dedicated two-day pre-season screening window. Force platform and eccentric strength testing identified asymmetries across 52 athletes. The school's ATC used the dashboard in real-time during return-to-play decisions mid-season, replacing the previous paper-based clearance process.

Season Outcomes

52
Varsity and JV athletes assessed across a 2-day screening window
8
Athletes with significant strength asymmetries caught before contact practice
Faster return-to-play clearance decisions with dashboard-supported ATC workflow
100%
Digital documentation for every athlete's health status — board & parent ready

What BetterAthlete™ Delivered

  • Force platform and eccentric hamstring screening for all 52 athletes
  • Strength asymmetry reports used to modify pre-season contact loads
  • ATC-facing dashboard for season-long monitoring and RTP tracking
  • Digital athlete health records replacing paper clearance forms
  • End-of-season board report with injury incidence and prevention data

Girls Volleyball

Ridgeline Volleyball Academy

Club Program · U14–U18 Girls · NYC Metro

The Challenge

Girls volleyball carries one of the highest ACL injury rates in youth sport — driven by repetitive jump-land mechanics and rapid deceleration. Ridgeline's coaches noticed the same athletes re-aggravating ankle and knee issues season over season, but had no objective data to guide training modifications or flag athletes for early intervention. The club needed a solution that could screen a large squad efficiently without disrupting practice time.

The Approach

BetterAthlete™'s jump load and landing mechanics screening was deployed across Ridgeline's three age groups. Athletes completed digital functional assessments that flagged valgus collapse and landing asymmetry patterns — the primary ACL risk factors in volleyball. Coaches integrated Green/Yellow/Red status into their weekly training load decisions, and Red-tier athletes were referred for supplementary movement coaching before returning to full training.

Season Outcomes

67
Athletes screened across U14, U16, and U18 squads at pre-season
31%
Of athletes showed landing asymmetry patterns requiring coaching intervention
0
Non-contact ACL injuries in the season following screening and protocol implementation
Improvement in landing mechanics scores for Red-tier athletes after 8-week protocol

What BetterAthlete™ Delivered

  • Jump-load and landing mechanics screening across all 67 athletes
  • GYR classification integrated into weekly coach training load decisions
  • ACL risk profiling with individual movement correction priorities
  • 8-week targeted prevention protocol for Red and Yellow tier athletes
  • Re-assessment at mid-season showing measurable mechanics improvement

For Parents

You Shouldn't Have
To Worry Alone

Most parents find out something is wrong when their child is already hurt — or when the injury has been quietly building for months. BetterAthlete changes that. It gives you visibility into your child's health in real time, and puts you in genuine communication with their coach and trainer around the things that matter: sleep, recovery, training load, and readiness. Not just results. The whole picture.

👁️

Real-Time Health Visibility

The parent portal shows you your child's daily readiness score, sleep patterns, recovery quality, and injury risk classification — updated daily. You see the same picture the coach sees. No more waiting until something goes wrong to find out there was a warning sign.

🌙

Coach-Reinforced Lifestyle Habits

Sleep, hydration, and recovery aren't just things you nag about at home — they're tracked metrics that directly affect your child's risk score in BetterAthlete. When the coach sees that sleep is down or recovery is poor, they adjust training load and send a note. The message that used to come only from you is now coming from the coach too. That matters to a teenager.

💬

Direct Coach Communication

The parent portal includes a structured communication channel with your child's EA trainer — tied to specific data points, not general status updates. Ask about a flagged readiness score. Get context on a modified training day. Receive updates after assessments. It's efficient, specific, and grounded in the same data everyone else is looking at.

From Your Trainer
Tomas A.  ·  Today

"Maya had a great protocol session today — hip stability work is showing real improvement. Her compliance has been excellent this week. I'll keep Thursday as a recovery day before Saturday's match."

Last Week  ·  Tomas A.

"Just a reminder — her force deficit is still in Yellow range. Extra sleep this week will directly support the strength gains we're targeting. She knows this too."

Parent Questions — Answered

What exactly will I see in the parent portal?

Daily readiness score, risk classification (Green / Yellow / Red), HRV, sleep quality, recovery trends, protocol task completion, and messages from your child's EA trainer. You see a curated parent view — not the full clinical data, but the information that tells you how your child is actually doing day to day.

Will my child's coach use this — or is it just for me?

Both. The EA trainer sees the full athlete dashboard every session and uses it to make real-time training decisions: modifying load, assigning recovery days, or escalating to a PT if a risk flag persists. You're looking at the same underlying data from a parent view — so when the trainer makes a call, you understand why.

What lifestyle habits does the platform address?

Sleep quality and duration, recovery score, daily readiness, hydration logging, and training load management. These aren't lifestyle lectures — they're tracked metrics that feed directly into your child's injury risk score. When sleep drops, risk goes up. The data makes that connection visible to your child, their coach, and you.

Can I actually communicate with the coach through the app?

Yes. The parent portal includes a structured messaging channel with your child's EA trainer — tied to specific sessions or data flags. You're not just sending a text; you're communicating in the context of what the app is showing. Responses typically come within 24 hours and are specific, data-grounded, and actionable.

Is my child's health data private?

Yes — HIPAA-compliant, medical-grade encryption. Data is role-based: athletes control who can view their profile. Parents with authorized access see the parent view. No data is shared with third parties. Your child's health profile is theirs.

My child's club already has injury forms. How is this different?

Paper injury forms capture what already happened. BetterAthlete predicts what's likely to happen — and intervenes before it does. The platform measures the asymmetries and strength deficits that precede injury by weeks or months, and triggers protocol responses before those patterns lead to time off the field.
