For Parents

SEE THE DATA.
UNDERSTAND THE PLAN.

Your child's body is telling a story -- in force production, in movement patterns, in how it responds under fatigue. Better Athlete translates that story into data you can see, a plan you can understand, and progress you can track.

WHAT THE STANDARD PHYSICAL DOES NOT SHOW YOU.

A sports physical clears your child to play. It does not tell you how their body is actually performing -- where the imbalances are developing, how they move under fatigue, or which patterns put them at risk before symptoms appear.

"Your daughter has an 11% hamstring asymmetry. She does not feel it. Her coach does not see it. But the data does."
This is the kind of finding that changes a season. Better Athlete catches it before it becomes an injury.

Force Asymmetries

Whether your child has strength imbalances between left and right sides. These gaps are invisible in practice but visible in the data -- and they predict injury before symptoms appear.

Fatigue Response

How their body responds when they are tired -- when most injuries actually happen. You see what happens under game-day fatigue, not just when they are fresh and rested.

Movement Quality

How your child moves through sport-specific patterns. Compensations and weaknesses that develop silently over months become visible in a single assessment session.

Progress Tracking

Objective, measurable progress data you can see and understand -- not coach opinions or gut feelings. Real numbers showing real improvement over time.

THIS IS YOUR VIEW.

You see everything your child's coach sees. Every metric explained in plain language. Every concern addressed before you have to ask. This is your data about your child.

You see what we see. No gatekeeping. No black boxes. Every metric explained in plain language.

FIVE CLEAR TIERS. PLAIN LANGUAGE.

Every assessment produces a clear, color-coded risk classification. No jargon. No ambiguity. You understand exactly where your child stands and what is being done about it.

Green -- Within Normal Ranges

Your child's metrics are within expected ranges for their age, sport, and development level. Continue current training. No intervention needed.

Yellow -- Mild Elevation

One or more metrics show mild elevation. Monitoring recommended. Your child's coach receives specific guidance on what to watch during training.

Orange -- Moderate Risk

Meaningful asymmetries or deficits detected. Modified training prescribed. Your child receives a targeted protocol to address the specific area of concern.

Red -- Significant Risk

Significant findings requiring intervention. Activity modification and focused rehabilitation prescribed. You are contacted directly with a detailed consultation.

Critical -- Immediate Clinical Referral

Severe elevation requiring immediate clinical attention. Full referral to your child's physician or specialist. We coordinate the handoff and provide all assessment data to the treating provider.

WHAT YOUR ATHLETE SEES.

Your child owns their data. They learn their body. They become an athlete who understands themselves -- not just how to play, but how their body works and what it needs.

Athlete View

Sofia sees her own data.

Her risk profile, her scores across every domain, her personalized protocol, and her progress over time. She sees which exercises address which findings. She tracks her own compliance. She watches her numbers improve. This is the foundation of body intelligence -- and it starts with visibility.

FROM ASSESSMENT TO ACTION.

Here is exactly what happens from the moment your child is assessed to the moment you see progress in the data.

1

Assessment

Clinical-grade, comprehensive. Your child is measured at rest and under fatigue. 15 minutes. Results populate your dashboard within 24 hours.

2

The Report

Every metric explained in plain language. No jargon. No mystery. You understand exactly what the data means and what your child's risk classification is.

3

The Consultation

If findings warrant it, we walk you through the data together. You ask questions. You understand the prescription before your child starts.

4

The Protocol

A personalized training protocol addresses the specific findings. Your child's coach integrates it into their training. You see what was prescribed and why.

5

Progress Tracking

Parent dashboard access: risk status, progress trajectory, and program compliance. You see what we see. You watch the data improve over time.

6

Reassessment

Every 6-8 weeks with updated findings. Watch the data change. Know your child is moving in the right direction. Compare results across seasons.

WHAT PARENTS ASK US.

What if the assessment finds something concerning?
We contact you directly with our findings. You are not learning about this from your child or overhearing coach conversations. We provide a consultation to discuss the data, what it means, and what the prescription addresses. If medical referral is needed, we guide that process together.
Is my child's data private?
Your child's data is completely private and protected. We follow HIPAA standards for data security. Coaches see only the information you authorize them to see. You control the access. You decide what gets shared with your child's medical providers or therapists.
How does this coordinate with our existing medical providers?
The assessment data is designed to work alongside your child's existing medical care. We can provide detailed reports to your pediatrician, physical therapist, or sports medicine provider. We coordinate, not compete. You remain the hub of your child's care.
What sports does this work for?
The assessment methodology works across all sports -- soccer, basketball, baseball, hockey, volleyball, gymnastics, swimming, track, lacrosse, and more. The core measurements are universal. The interpretation is sport-specific.
What age is appropriate for assessment?
We assess athletes ages 12 and up. At younger ages, the assessment can still be valuable, but growth and development create more variability. We will work with you to determine if your child is ready based on their maturity level and training intensity.
How often should reassessment happen?
We recommend reassessment every 6-8 weeks to track progress on the prescription and catch emerging patterns early. Some parents choose quarterly assessments. The frequency depends on your child's sport intensity, injury history, and developmental stage.
